Calendar for Critical Causes
design brief + RESEARCH
Gun Violence has always been a serious issue to me, and I have always been afraid of guns. I wanted to make a calendar that would bring further attention to the devastating topic. They are so horrifying to me and the fact that some people decide to pick and choose when they think gun violence is an issue to be addressed upsets me. 
I knew I wanted to use orange, as it is the color associated with awareness for gun violence. I also knew I did not want this to be a lighthearted awareness calendar. I wanted upsetting statistics and actual events that had occurred on the calendar, for the audience to easily see.first layouts
I had a pretty steady set of layouts at the beginning, and decided to adjust one of my original ones for the final layouts. I also knew I wanted to include illustrations, so I decided my calendar could be reused as informative posters as the months passed by in the year.
